Intercalculating

Are you thinking about a career in research and/or medical education? Then perhaps you should consider intercalating a BSc or BMedSci honours degree for one year. There are currently eleven intercalating degrees available at Barts and The London:

  • BMedSci Community Health Sciences
  • BMedSci Molecular Medicine
  • BMedSci Molecular Therapeutics
  • BSc Biomedical Engineering
  • BSc Clinical Materials
  • BSc Infection and Immunity
  • BSc Experimental Pathology
  • BSc Medical Education
  • BSc Neuroscience
  • BSc/BDentSci Oral Biology
  • BSc Sports and Exercise Medicine

Entry to this programme is very competive and you are urged to review the requirements of the courses well in advance of making an application and to seek advice from your tutors. It would certainly help your application if you could link some of your first and second year SSMs to one or more of the course component topics.

There is also the option of going to another university to complete this degree although the criteria are strict.

Full details about intercalating can be found here

Also look out for details about the Intercalated Degree Day, where you will be able to speak to the tutors and previous students about the degree before you apply.
